The same executive-order campaign that targeted Perkins Coie hit Jenner & Block for employing attorneys who had investigated Trump. The firm fought rather than folded, and courts struck down the order. Nine firms, including Paul Weiss, Skadden Arps, and Willkie Farr, collectively pledged roughly $940 million in free legal work to administration causes and dropped DEI programs rather than litigate; Jenner, Perkins Coie, WilmerHale, and Susman Godfrey went to court instead and largely won.
