These terms govern your use of brynodc.com and its subdomains, the BrynoDC newsletter, and the BrynoDC applications, including the application used to manage the BrynoDC YouTube channel. By using the site or authorizing an application, you agree to these terms.

What BrynoDC is

BrynoDC publishes legal news, litigation tracking, and civics education. The content is journalism and education. It is not legal advice, and reading it does not create an attorney-client relationship. If you need legal advice, consult a licensed attorney about your specific situation.

Using the website

The website is free to use. You agree not to disrupt the site, attempt to gain unauthorized access to non-public areas, scrape at volumes that degrade service for others, or misrepresent BrynoDC content as your own. Case data is compiled from public court records; we work to keep it accurate, but dockets move quickly and the underlying court record always controls.

The BrynoDC applications

The BrynoDC applications, including the YouTube channel management application, are internal tools operated by BrynoDC for managing our own channel and publications. They are intended for use by the BrynoDC team and accounts we authorize. The YouTube application uses YouTube API Services; by authorizing it you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Our handling of data from Google APIs is described in our Privacy Policy, and you can revoke the application's access at any time from your Google security settings.

Subscriptions

Some features and publications are available to subscribers. Subscriber payments are processed by the platforms through which you subscribe, and those platforms' terms apply to billing. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Intellectual property

BrynoDC's original articles, videos, graphics, and compilations belong to BrynoDC. Court filings and other public records referenced on the site are public documents. You may quote and link to our work with attribution; republishing substantial portions requires permission.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The website and applications are provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BrynoDC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, the newsletter, or the applications.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
