Designates specific chapters of the Muslim Brotherhood as Foreign Terrorist Organizations.

What each section does, and how they differ.

Sec. 1 Purpose

Sets in motion a process to designate certain Muslim Brotherhood chapters (Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt) as foreign terrorist organizations based on support for violence against U.S. interests.

Sec. 2 Policy

States that U.S. policy is to cooperate with regional partners to eliminate capabilities of designated Muslim Brotherhood chapters and deprive them of resources.

Sec. 3 Implementation

Directs State and Treasury departments to submit a joint report within 30 days on designating Muslim Brotherhood chapters as foreign terrorist organizations and specially designated global terrorists.

Sec. 4 General Provisions

Standard boilerplate: preserves existing agency authority, conditions the order on appropriations, and creates no enforceable private rights.
