Annual adjustment of federal employee pay rates.

Section by Section

What each section does, and how they differ.

Sec. 1 Statutory Pay Systems

Adjusts rates of basic pay for the statutory pay systems, covering the General Schedule, the Foreign Service Schedule, and the Veterans Health Administration schedules, effective the first applicable pay period beginning on or after January 1, 2026.

Sec. 2 Senior Executive Service

Sets Senior Executive Service salary rates on attached Schedule 3.

Sec. 3 Certain Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Salaries

Adjusts rates of basic pay for the Executive Schedule, Vice President, Congress, and federal judges on attached Schedules 5, 6, and 7.

Sec. 4 Uniformed Services and Other

Adjusts monthly basic pay for uniformed services members and directs assessment of whether to provide additional increases to federal law enforcement personnel pay.

Sec. 5 Locality-Based Comparability Payments

Sets locality-based comparability payments pursuant to statute on attached Schedule 9.

Sec. 6 Administrative Law Judges

Sets basic pay rates for administrative law judges on attached Schedule 10.

Sec. 7 Effective Dates

Establishes January 1, 2026, as the effective date for uniformed services schedules and subsequent effective dates for other schedules.

Sec. 8 Prior Order Superseded

Supersedes Executive Order 14132 of December 23, 2024 (Adjustments of Certain Rates of Pay), as of the effective dates specified in this order.
